Ethical & Innovative AI in Education

Chanel College, Coolock has been awarded €5,000 under the Féilte Bursary Scheme to collaborate with Catholic University School and St. Mary’s College, Dundalk.

Together, we are exploring a central question:

Can we build AI tools for education — and should we?

Through cross-school workshops, PlayLab build sessions and expert-led discussion, teachers are designing curriculum-aligned AI tools while examining ethical, legal and inclusion implications.

Project Updates

Mid February 2026 – Online Introduction Session
Project framework introduced. Shared classroom challenges identified. “Can we / should we” lens established.

Late February 2026 – In-Person Workshop (Dublin)
Hands-on AI tool development, collaborative design, and structured ethical debate around governance, bias and responsible implementation.
